Canowindra, Australia (2)

Dinner at the Farleys´, including Joanna from Canada. She also stayed there for some days.

Canowindra, Australia (1)

The Farley family, who welcomed us on their farm and home. Juliane´s cousin Heidi has been an Au-pair for them more than 10 years ago. We had a really great time there and they made us feel at home.

Some impressions from their huge farm.

Oliver learning to ride a motorbike. Took only 10 minutes. Afterwards we both went on a ride.

Blue Mountains, Australia

The closest city to reach the Blue Mountains is Katoomba. From there we took a bus to the mountains, where we walked around on some trails.

We were lucky with the weather and the scenery was amazing.

Our own wine tasting.

Sydney, Australia

The Opera House was of course one of the first things in Sydney we had to see.

Interesting insights when getting a bit closer. We also saw a play at the Opera House. It is called Sweeney Todd and a mix of musical and opera. Really good one!

We also visited the Taronga Zoo, where the three following pictures were taken.

City impression.

Singapore

Nice being back to Singapore.
This time we came right in the phase of the Chinese new year. Whole Chinatown was decorated for the coming year of the pig.
At the last evening we met some of my former colleagues from Messe Duesseldorf Asia. Thanks again for the evening!

Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia (3)

More pictures from the Thaipusam festival

When Juliane became a tourist attraction.

Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia (2)

The time we were in Kuala Lumpur the Thaipusam festival took place. Outside of KL are the Batu caves were hundreds of thousands of Hindus went to celebrate.

Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia (1)

Welcome to Kuala Lumpur! Home to the Petronas Towers, which are the second highest buildings in the world. The picture was taken from the telecommunications tower, which is shown in the picture below (next to the dancing camel).

Just across the towers, a nice little garden.

Not to forget the huge shopping center at the towers. Inside is a cinema, where we saw a movie.

As the majority of the Malay people are muslims, they even have to write a sign if shoes contain pig leather.

Cameron Highlands, Malaysia (4)

This woman is from the aborigine tribe of the Orang Asli.

She was selling quite interesting things. Here we bought an original blowpipe (to hunt down some pigeons/duer in Aarhus). She also had Golden Chicken. A plant, which Chinese put in their living rooms for good luck.

The one time we took a cab in the Cameron Highlands we found the biggest entertainer of them all: Dory.

Walking through the city to the bus terminal. Next stop: Kuala Lumpur.

Cameron Highlands, Malaysia (3)

One day we did a tour to a mossy forest. The moss is growing in the crown of the trees. So we were actually not walking on the ground but approx. 20 m above in the crowns.
Billeder fra en skov, hvor mos gror i traekronerne. Der gik vi rundt hoejt oppe.

Here some pictures from walking around on our daily trekking tours in the tea plantations.
